After leg 3, I was able to eat and drink a little better, I think I just relaxed, so I felt a little more ready to go. Everything was hurting at this point, and we had passed most of the low hanging fruit by this point (8:30+minute per mile teams) so I was actually racing the people around me. At two points during this leg, I was running behind someone who I knew would be capable of going with me if I made a move to pass them, so I dug deep to get big surges past them. and they weren't ready to respond. It was always interesting during this event when I passed someone who had been passing other people, because I was blowing past them and they were always the most surprised.
Glad this was done when it was over.
