Nice run with Hunter Ryan and Brendan after Irene passed through. A couple downed trees but nothing major, the apartment survived the storm with a minor roof leak.

Week in review:

been a while since I've taken the time for one of these. This week was the first week of practice, featured 2 main workouts, and a solid long run. Last week was a bit of a let down, so this week, I wanted to get back to a sustainable level of intensity day to day and week to week, as opposed to a 70/35 mpw cycle. I felt good all week, the thresholds felt good, and the hills felt easy, while some people seemed to have more difficulty with them. The freshmen class seems to be as advertised, but now I'm really seeing why everyone says what you ran in high school doesn't matter. With our 2 years of strength and college running experience, Shane and I are still stronger than the freshmen are, at least at this point. The plan going into next week is to get ~65 miles in, and then long term, get 60-65 with an off day that next week, then trying to bump up into the 70's for mid September-early October.
