Notes
Can't call a 1:19 PR a bad run.
I gave an honest shot at 2:40, hit 10 miles at 61, and 1:20 and a smidge at the half, but I knew at that point that I wasn't going to come back in 1:20, miles 19-24 were hard, at 23 I was able to do enough math to figure out what I needed to hold on for <2:50, and at 24 I realized I could still PR after Alex passed me, and dug deep the last two miles. Hamstring and toe held up well through the race.
I wanted 2:40 this cycle, but I missed a lot of important training. Needed those 4 or so long runs I missed in September in the race shoes to get my legs used to the pounding. I think that eccentric strength was the limiting factor today.
