Notes

workout says easy, but it wasn't.

I ran one of Isaiah's versions of airport, that goes up the steep side (.8 miles 377ft elevation gain), and comes back down 122. I knew going in that my legs weren't happy, I woke up sore from sprinting and cutting on the frisbee field yesterday, and I was considering going flat (i.e. coaches rat farm) but I didn't want to wimp out on the 9 miles. I told myself that if necessary, I could stop and walk up the hill and then coast back, even though I knew that would never happen, but it mentally got me over the hill. Then my hammys were crying the whole way home downhill. Glad that I fought through this.

Now, today I was very sore from frisbee at work, more sore than I was after the workout Wednesday. I think the key was that in frisbee, I'm cutting and accelerating a lot more, and with the cutting and stopping, I feel like that really should help the stabilizing muscles in my knees and ankles, especially since at work, everyone is careful to take care of themselves, and is very mindful of any potentially dangerous contact.
