I tried that idea to run a tempo workout and long run on consecutive days so that my long run was at an appropriately slow pace. Seems to have worked out pretty well. Survey says that yesterday was a little hard for a tempo just like I thought. There were 3 large uphills on Vanderbilt that I wasn't really expecting because I've never run over there before. Maybe on Thursday, I'll run an out and back on Vanderbilt, push the hills walk the down hills.
