First workout of the season. 3.5 mile jog out to Brookline Reservoir, a few strides/drills, and then 8 x 2 min on, 1 min off fartlek. This fartlek is always a little bit harder than it seems. I went out too fast (first mile was ~5:10), which made the next 10 minutes sting. I felt pretty good by the end though. Overall ran about 4.3 miles for the 24 min, around 5:37 pace average for the workout. I'm excited for our next session.
