CB West

Notes

Very good workout today at CB West with Brian. It was chilly and windy (13mph winds) but I felt good. Workout was 5 x 1km at CV (3:03-2:58 goal range) with 90s jog rest, then 3 min jog, then 5 x 20s hill with 1:40 jog rest, then 3 min jog, then 4 x 15s stride with 45s jog. Splits for the 1km reps: 3:03, 3:03, 3:03, 3:01, 3:01. Felt strong and smooth on the track work, I felt relaxed and comfortable despite the wind. Hills and strides felt good also, good to get the legs turning over. Left foot still feeling a little bit strange - big toe swelling has gone down, but now my fourth toe is kind of sore. A little worried it might be some sort of overcompensation from the swelling on the big toe, but I know it does not hurt that much and hoping that Rob will be able to clear it up tomorrow. Overall happy with the workout, it was a "bread and butter" effort (aka not that hard), but I know how good I felt.
