Notes
Nice run down racetrack. Ran along the lake in the clock subdivision. Had some light rain but not too much. Coming back along racetrack there was a guy that was walking and started running right before I passed him. He was going just a little slower than I was but not much. As I caught him said Good morning to him, then Happy New Year as I passed him. He had head phones on and guess he didn't hear me because he didn't respond. I picked up the pace to around 7:30 just a little to put some distance between us. A minute or so later I hear footsteps behind me and he's working hard to keep up. Felt pretty good at that point so picked it up even more. That mile ended up at 6:49 and the last 1/2 mile of it was probably 6:30 or so. Tried to get back to easy pace after that but was still a bit fast.
Pretty good run to start the year.
