I surprised myself and ran a strong race. Maintained my position in 11th place early and passed no one and was passed by one one. I tried to keep Katie in my sight and not let her get too far ahead. Splits were very even 5:57, 5:56, 6:01, and 5:15 for last 0.15. 4th of 19 in my age group 40 - 44 and there were 594 runners.
