Took about a 12 min break and then went to ran 14 miles on the MKT. Made a bathroom stop at Scott Blvd. It was challenging from this point since the trail is in really bad shape from Scott Blvd. Huge sections of washed out areas with large rocks but not the mud like we dealt with on the earlier run. This slowed pace in these areas. I took the high trail around the sewage treatment which turned out to be a good thing since the lower trail was flooded at one point. Turned around at 7 miles out. Lots of goose poop to dodge around the sewage treatment area. At 3 miles before end stopped to talk to a neighbor for about 5 minutes and GPS shut off. Next mile went well and then I kind of crashed for the last 2 miles. Once I got done, I could tell I needed food quickly so went to steak and shake for a bagel sandwich and diet coke. Once I had food, I felt good again. This probably wasn't the best training for a 50 mile trail run, but will see how it goes. With 2 weeks away, I guess I just need to try to maintain my endurance.
