Lunatics reunion with Brett, Phil, Mike, Hugh, and Angie. We all showed up and started together. Angie ran with Phil and me until mile 7 and looks like I picked up the heart rate data from her Timex. I struggled but managed to keep up with them. Heart rate felt high (sure it was higher than Angie's data), hard to breathe, and legs were burning a bit. Usually, I can talk pretty well at this pace but not today. Phil stopped for water at 8 mi and felt a little better and then we stopped again at the Urgent Care building and I felt even better for the last few miles at a little slower pace. We finished on the trail and he ran out to 12 miles and then back since his knee was bothering him. I continued on just past Scott Blvd and turned around for a total of 16 miles. My pace really fell off after Phil turned around. The heat did not take any pity on me today. This was one of the hardest feeling runs I have had in awhile. Slowing down the pace helped immensely.
