Notes
I wasn't sure what to expect with this run since it was 97 F and 13% humidity when I headed out at 4:15 pm. The sky was partly cloudy and the sun peeked through occasionally. I took a different section of the paved trail and ended up looping back to where I started. Then I decided to go back to where I went by this golf course yesterday and noticed the trail also kept going straight ahead so I followed it. I ended up going to where it ended. It ran right along the highway to the outskirts of town. It sprinkled every so often. I then headed back and took the loop around the golf course I did yesterday morning only backwards today. At 7 - 8.5 miles it rained pretty steadily but not too hard. I never got very wet on the run and it had cooled off to 93F when I finished. It never felt like the 90s I am used to so humidity does make a big difference. There were 5 others out running and in the heat as well.
As I was out running I wondered how much higher the elevation is here than Columbia since I thought breathing was a little difficult. I checked when I got back and I am 1000 ft higher here than Columbia at about 1600 - 1700 ft. I never really noticed it yesterday so not sure why I did today. With the humidity so low my nose was feeling really dry too and a little stuffed which didn't help with breathing.
