Notes

On the way to the run, I noticed Andy P. running about 1.5 mi from RB. When I arrived I was surprised to only see Dan H. in the parking lot since he hasn't run at RB in over a year, but he decided today was the day. After a few minutes Nicole arrives with Andy in the car so we take off and ran 5.5 mi. Tough to run in the snow since couldn't see what was under our feet. Andy led the way so whenever he slid or fell we knew to be careful. On the way back, we saw Joe & Eric. Andy joined them and I ran back to the parking lot with Dan. I headed over to the Gans side since I wanted to get at least 4 more miles and thought it would be better over there. At first, it was really in the wind and the trail was drifted over so the snow was pretty deep. Then got into the pines and it was very nice. I actually got hot. A couple points I almost lost the trail, but I made it back. I actually looked for the trail markers to make sure I was still on the trail. The big hill was tough to climb so that mile was really slow. I managed to not fall down even once today. I had some soreness from yesterday, but once got warmed up felt pretty good. I had hoped to run more but due to the slowness I didn't have time. I felt like I was moving even slower than 12.5 min pace. I'm glad I got out and it really wasn't too bad. The winds were 29 mph this morning so wouldn't have wanted to run on the roads. The trees were really creaking at times in the woods.
