Went to the Column's run today at 7 so we could sleep in a little later. The worst part about this run was the wind. I hung with the group and figured I could get some 9 minute training miles in which is a good training pace (although still a little fast) for the trail race I am training. I may just have to start doing my Sat run at Rock Bridge sometimes. I originally thought I might run 20 but due to the wind chill, I decided I would run the 16 mi course Kathy mapped out and run 4 mi later with the dogs. At the Tennis Center several people stopped and Hugh and I kept going. At that point, my Garmin decided it was full and I had to stop and delete a couple old runs. The book says it just writes over old runs so not sure why it stopped. I ran ahead and decided that I would run up the hill off the trail that goes up to the apartments on Forum. Once I ran back down, the group that was going 16 mi had almost caught me. We all ran together (Kathy, Dan, Karen, and Nikki). We picked up Hugh on Grant Ln (he was NOT having a good run). Finished the 16 miles and was pretty sick of the cold mostly my mouth freezing and breathing the cold air. Otherwise, it was a pretty good run and was glad to keep the pace down.
