First race as an angry chicken. Did my part. Time includes a few seconds before I got the hand-off and a few more after I reached exchange 4 so better than I expected today. First mile was very slow (6:30) as I was still frozen, but after that all were under 6:10 and from 7, 8 and 9 were wall sub 6.
Obie was not there when I went to hand off, took 30-45 seconds for someone to find him. In the end we were 4th MM to SRR by about 5 minutes so it turns out those 30-45 seconds didn't make a difference--still tough to run your guts out and stand there watching the time tick away while you stand still in the exchange zone.
Team was: Titus, Carlos, Ken, me, Obie. That's a pretty solid team. I was right behind Joe Navas (Whirlaway) at the start of my leg so the early guys crushed it.
