Spent the morning at the doggie emergency room. No warmup except the 4 minute sprint from the house to washington park, out of breath and dehydrated at the start. 5:43 first mile and almost redlining at that point. So not bad all things considered. 3rd overall, the lowell kenyan who was 2nd to Dan ran slower than I did last year so under normal circumstances I might have had him.
This is not a fast course even on a good day--kind of impressed I ran 17:18 on it last year.
Mike Connelly in 4th, Chris in 6th. So the RTC hippos would have won a cross country meet against the rest of the field.
