Cliff notes version: This one was for William Feeney, may he rest in peace.
Would have, and probably should have stayed home for this one but with Bill's passing yesterday I couldn't. His enthusiasm for running, runners, and life in general mandated my attendance. I always warm up, but had to pass on one this time because of the issue with my lower left leg. In spite of some fairly significant (and expected) discomfort I ran pretty consistently for the first three miles. The last mile hurt like hell, and I was just hanging on for dear life.
