Met The Kid at the Fiske lot for our traditional 14 before Boston. At some point before we turned, his back and hip started bothering him and with about two and half miles to go I ran ahead to get the car. Of course he just refuses to ever give up on a run (even if it is the smaht thing to do). I ran hard to get to the car as quickly as possible, headed out and had only been driving a minute or two when I saw him grinding along the path and waving me off. Like most runners, The Kid has rocks in his head.
