previous road run was awful, warmup down mass ave and first steps on the track didn't feel much better. first attempt at a track workout pace felt awful and i actually started cutting across the baseball field to scrap the workout and go home. decided not to give up without running at least one horrible 800, wound up getting six that weren't all that bad.
