Woof. This was a rough one. I just stopped in the middle of this run. Foot was hurting. Negative self-talk was raging. So I stopped at a nearby park and just started walking laps on a small paved loop. Laps and laps, just asking myself what sort of fitness goals would make me happy?
I made a goal to run at least 5k a day this month, I was so close to smashing the goal, and I didn't feel any happier or healthier toward my relationship with running. So what comes next?
Having this serious conversation with myself helped a lot. And after walking all those laps, I ran back to the condo feeling a lot better.
