Spartan Invite 2013. Windy, windy, windy day. I competed in the second fastest heat of the 1500m with a bundle of teammates. Julia essentially led the bulk of the race, and I moved up towards the top group, which consisted almost entirely of Spartan runners. Then I fell back as every started spreading out the last lap and a half, but I managed to catch a couple girls at the end. Wind had a decent effect on performance, but I also struggled to get into a miler mentality.
