I ran the Valentine Fanconi Anemia 5K this morning. I had to peel off two jackets when a 30 second announcement was made. I made a mad dash to the starting line, but had to settle for the grass area next to the cement sidewalk starting line. The headwind and slight incline for the 1.5 miles toward and along Moody was cold and mentally tough. The return was much easier and made for near even splits. Overall, it was difficult to find the mental grit to battle for a strong pace. I am starting to feel a cold coming on.
