23 miles into a 30 mile bike ride I stopped on a bridge to wait for Harriet. I figured I'd put my foot on the side. But I didn't get my foot out of the clip and went over the side maybe a 20 ft drop.
I fell on my back in a relatively soft spot, luckily. I'm pretty sore, especially when walking.
A nice guy carried my bike up and gave us a ride to our car. The rear wheel of the bike is like a potato chip.
We went back to get the bikes, then stopped at the scene to get my sunglasses and take some pictures. Wasn't thinking of ER but Harriet talked me into it.

CT scan showed I broke the transverse process of L2 vertebra. Prolly no running for a bit. But I feel pretty after that fall.
