My review:

I wound up happier with these than I was initially. My main complaints are just that the shoe feels cheaply designed. It's very well built and durable, but it feels like it's molded in plastic and just has fabric stretched over the top. The cuff used to dig into the outside of my ankle. The insoles and platform just feel flat. The laces are cheap and too long, and I had trouble if I used the last eyehole because the shoes are tall and this caused my foot to not be able to bend well. The tongue is very very thin, and I had to work to not wind up with it somehow folded double on top of my foot. Even then, if felt like the tongue was sewed off to one side. The soles did last really well and they are a sturdy shoe, they just felt like they were mass market and missing all the nice details that Brooks tends to remember. These shoes did last a long time, though. I would buy them again if I found them for 40 bucks or something.
