New Year's Day Boston Marathon! What a great way to start the year. My friend Jon drove me to the start after we dropped my car at the finish, and then ran a few miles with us before turning around to head to a Patriots Game. I wound up running most of the route with Amanda; lots of fun chatting with her and taking our time rather than trying to keep up with everybody. Nice little gathering of folks after the run at Starbuck's. Don't get the "Refresh" tea - it's not very refreshing. Felt great, and even by this evening still am not sore or anything from the run, although I did stop halfway home for a nap to make sure my drive stayed safe.
