Notes

Starting temp of 17, DP 4. Ended at temp of 22, DP 8. Fairly windy. Did the 4-3-2-1 workout around Hains Point, working with Lauren and Jillian (Kate a bit ahead). Hains Point had a decent wind from the north, which threw some of the splits off. Did most of the 2 mile and all of the 1 mile with a tailwind.

Took a Rocktane after the 4 mile repeat; also had to use my inhaler a bunch of puffs during the bathroom break - my lungs were grabbing a bit at points during the 4 - probably a combination of the very dry air, the wind blowing up some irritants, and me tensing my upper body due to the cold. Lungs were great for the rest of the run, though.

Overall, I'm feeling pretty rock star about this one.

Splits were:

4 mile: 27:35 (6:54/6:55/6:54/6:52 - average pace 6:54)

3 mile: 20:30 (6:46/7:00/6:44 - average pace 6:50)

2 mile: 13:34 (6:53/6:41 - average pace 6:47)

1 mile: 6:30

One puff Foradil pre-run; as noted above, had to supplement with the Albuterol inhaler.

Wore fuzzy headband, sunglasses, vaseline on face; Pearl Izumi Jacket and tank top + ski mittens/handwarmers; and 2XU thin tights plus ankle warmers and thin socks. Felt perfectly dressed for the workout after the first few chilly miles.
