Notes

Temp and DP 56, wind of 12 MPH from NE (weird, because it felt like it was coming from the other direction), no pollen.

Ran with Jake for the first 8 of his 20 miler, so didn't progress - just did easy into marathon effort. Definitely a bit harder to shift into marathon effort when I can't ease into it over a few miles of moderate effort.

Split as first 8 averaging 8:29 and the last 6 averaging 6:54, with a half-mile cool-down after. Marathon effort yielded a slower pace than normal, but I'm pretty sure that's some lingering fatigue from Broad Street, plus dodging puddles/mud. The effort was right, and that's the important thing.

Lots of deep puddles and some very slick muddy patches made parts of Rock Creek a bit nervewracking - had to really slow down at times to protect my ankles.

Stomach was good - a bit of cramping at the very end - breakfast was rice, hemp powder, smores and birthday cake GU, and a black cherry shot blok.

Breathing was very good - Advair 250/50 and Qvar.
