Notes
Temp/DP 56. First regular tempo on the track in what seems like a long time (last week was intervals).
Kept this one on the easy side, in part because I'm still feeling a bit wonky from that stomach bug, and in part because I do want to slow these down. These aren't supposed to be extended intervals, but instead lactate threshold work.
Workout was set at 4-5 miles. I felt relaxed enough at the 2 mile mark to decide to go for 5, but George pulled me at 4.25 to be careful. Which was fine - better to be careful. Plus, the hard mental part of a 5 mile tempo is usually at the 3-4 mile area (the last 2-3 laps are mentally easy), so I got to practice the mental toughness of a 5 mile tempo without the actual wear and tear.
Splits were 6:53/6:48/6:48/6:45/1:42. 28:56 for 6800m of running
