Temp 42, DP 38. 5 mile tempo - tried to keep it relaxed. Once more a very loose shoe - also very sleepy at start. Finally stopped to tie my shoe, and pace improved after. Once I finally woke up, I felt OK, and debated going to 10K. But I decided not to risk it - the 20-22 is more important this weekend, and I've been so tired at times.
Splits were 6:52/6:47/6:45/6:36/6:31. 33:31 for 8K (less the time to retie my shoe)
Worked on breathing exercises during the run, and relaxed shoulders, even if that made me slower. Helped a lot with breathing.
