Iwo Jima

Notes

Temp 46, DP 42. Hill workout on Iwo Jima. Was a bit nervous about my feet, but they felt great on the uphills. I could feel my left foot tightening up during the downhill strides, so I kept those pretty cautious, and focused on quick turnover in place rather than covering as much ground as possible.

Was only planning to do four reps, but decided to go ahead and do six, since the feet felt so good. Was pleasantly surprised that the workout didn't feel too hard (in fairness, I was holding back slightly, especially on first rep). Legs got wobbly a bit on the last rep, but usually that happens a lot sooner.

Breathing was really tight during warm-up, but then no problems during workout.

Ran 6 loops in 29:06.

1 puff of Dulera before.

Followed with injury prevention work at gym, including squats (3x8 at 125, 145, 160), good mornings (2x10 at 105), single leg deadlifts (4x5 at 30) and KB swings (1x15 at 15)
