Notes
Starting temp of 70 (DP 70); ended at temp of 74, DP 71. Out and back past Pierce Mill. Was planning on 18, but was told to keep to 16.
First 8 at 8:22 pace; next 4 at 7:25, last 5 at 6:51 pace (but a bit deceptive, due to breaks in the last part, also erratically paced -- ran way too fast in the middle). Ran with group for first part, then Kate, Jillian, and Jessica, then just Jessica (and solo post GI break)
Annoying run. Took a gel at the Pierce Mill break, and my stomach ended up rebelling on me, necessitating a lengthy emergency pitstop. Then just felt lousy and nauseous thereafter. Shoes also wouldn't stay tied, since soaked. Annoying. Oh well. Better now than during a race.
The gel was a Cliffshot, but I've used before with no issue, so I don't think it was the gel itself, but just the fact that I took on a fuller than normal stomach.
Followed with injury prevention work at gym, including squats (3x8 at 135. 155, 165), good mornings (2x10 at 115) and single leg deadlifts (4x5 at 30).
