Notes
Temp 37, DP 31 (warmed up to 43 by end). Did 4-3-2-1 workout with Kate N, Jillian, and Stephen. Splits were:
4 mile: 27:39 (6:58/6:59/6:58/6:44 - average pace 6:55)
3 mile: 20:32 (6:57/6:48/6:47- average pace 6:51)
2 mile: 13:31 (6:44/6:37 - average pace 6:41)
1 mile: 6:21
Splits definitely were not marathon pace. Closer to half pace for me, and the 6:21 was obviously much faster than half pace. Oh well - my HR was in the right place, and though I was working hard, I never felt like i was struggling.
And I have to admit that I couldn't have run this workout a few weeks ago. So my fitness is definitely improving. Just need to be sure to recover well from this one.
Took one gel at mile 7.5 or so (after 4 mile); one puff Foradil in morning pre-run.
