Captain’s log (resumed) PART 1: Going into the time trial, I wasn’t feeling the best. I ate too close to the run, and I wore out my legs trying to bike to practice as fast as I could. I felt like I was going to collapse and vomit throughout the duration of the run, but I made it without doing either. I ended up finishing with a 5:40, and I think I got that because I knew the run wasn’t going to feel great. I decided go faster when I felt like throwing up instead of pulling over. Also, Brody trying to pass me at the end was extra motivation. All things considered, I feel like I could have gone even faster had I not screwed with my legs or my stomach.
