Notes

Tough workout today. The workout was 5mins at thresh, 1 min off, 3 mins at 5k pace, 3 mins off (x3). Glad I had my teammates to help me out on this one. I got out pretty quick in my first 5 min, probably a lot faster than thresh pace which made the rest of the workout really tough. I circled back about half way through the workout to regroup with the Joel, Ali, and Caleb. On the last set, I let them lead me on the 5 mins pick up and then I took it after about 3.5 mins. I mapped this 5 min rep and it was at 5:12 pace. This was my slowest rep of the day but it felt really smooth. I think the only part that made the workout really tough was trying to run on my own because running with the guys felt really relaxed otherwise. Sometimes, when I go out on the roads like this, I find it hard to find the right pace (I don't have a GPS watch or anything so I have to guess and test) so today I was trying to judge my surroundings to see if I was going fast enough. Legs felt heavy so I assumed I wasn't going fast enough when in reality I was. The last 3 min rep we all basically finished together. Really need to recover after this one, but overall, a really solid day for myself and everyone else. They looked quick as frick! MONSTER.
