Notes
Started a bit nearer the front. Race started on a downhill and didn't really hit any hills the first mile. After that it was rolling. Hank was walking after 2.5, pulled calf muscle. Tried to run at a steady pace and felt comfortable. Was very humid and poured water over my head at each station. Started passing runners but I could tell hit was going to be tough. I managed to get comfortable and don't remember getting passed by anyone. Was pretty much running solo for most of the race. At about 8 miles, the skies opened up to torrential rain. It actually felt good and cooled me down. Didn't have to pour water over head after that. Passed a guy at the end who was struggling, he tried to come back, but I pushed a bit harder. Was happy to make the turn into the parking lot and see the finish line.
Came in 4th in age group. Robert won, follow by Martin, then Doug and me. But I wasn't close to any of them.
