Mom's Day 5k in Dover with AC. Plan called for a race - so I did one. Not sure what to expect from my legs today, but they responded pretty well. Was hoping to PR and in the back of my mind wanted to push the 18:00 mark. Went down with AC and knew this was going to be a battle. As suspected, she went out hard - too much for me. Tried to reel her in the last mile as I had some kick left - but just couldn't close the gap. Happy with this effort (5k PR) as I felt OK and the race was a good one. There was tons of energy and the course was a good one. Also ran next to Laurie G. to start out the race. All in all, fun race.
