Notes
Achor leg (4) for the Manchester City Marathon relay - with Gwen, Jess and Laurie. Won our age group and 5th overall. This was an incredible and safe experience - blown away with the level of detail to keep us socially distanced and with masks when needed - well done millennium racing.
My leg was on the rail trail and through a neighborhood from hell - hills hills oh my - hence the 8:00 split. I was not prepared to run those at pace. In general, got up to speed easy and after about mile 2, I knew it was going to be a dog fight. I am just not trained for these kind of splits. Very pumped to have the balls to push these miles and hold a faster than MP effort. The last mile was pretty hilly and full of turns.
Ton of fun with some pretty cool teammates - we had a blast for this and it was AWESOME to race again. Ready for more!
PS: added time and distance to my last split to get my race time and distance - had some issues with sync in the woods and forgot to start my watch at the very beginning - grrrrr. Am I that out of practice!
