Well, it's finally here! I'm running the Louisville KY Derby Festival Marathon on Saturday...it's been a long road, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here for all your advice. There is definitely no way I could have possibly figured out how to get here without the support and advice of everyone on here. Wish me luck!

Skootr, you're going to do great. Excellent -- have fun! The only thing I can think to say for a first marathon is, better to stay slow and save up energy for later, cause it's more fun to pass people near the end, than to get passed near the end Smile

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Well, being in Kentucky, I'm obviously running shoeless on a mud track, and yes, you are right....as far as I'm concerned fisting a marathon is really the only way to do it....
