You never know unless you ask!!!!!!!!!!

I am travelling to Berkeley Heights next weekend to visit my uncle.

Does anyone know of any run groups or running areas around here? I would love to hook up with a group in the area for a longer run (or any run!).

Thanks,

Madison Rose City Runners = http://www.rosecityrunners.com

Sneakerfactory in Millburn (I think they do runs. If they don't, they may be able to point you in the right direction) = http://www.sneakerfactory.com/

Thanks so much for those suggestions. It was very sweet of you to take the time.

The Sneaker Factory site even has some suggested routes.

Thanks again,

Not sure how far you want to run.

If you're in BH, you can do an out and back route up Springfield Avenue which heads right into Summit. You'll want to use the sidewalks since Springfield in a busy road.

Also, there's a nice path around Giralda Farms in Madison. One loop is about three miles. The 10K map on this page gives you an idea (you just can't run through the corporate park). But around the outside is about 3 miles. http://www.giraldafarmsrun.com/gfrcourse.htm

You know, Summit's just as short train ride to NYC. If you're going to be here a while, you might want to check out central park.

Thanks to both of you for the additonal suggestions!

Saturday I think I'll head up to Loantaka Brook Park and I'll do some other runs in Berkeley Heights.

I would love to be running in Central Park but I just don't think it will work this time. My 5 year old daughter and I will spend one night in NYC and are staying very close to the park but I will be with her the whole time. Hopefully we will get a nice walk in.

If anyone ever makes it out to Vancouver I would be happy to provide suggested routes here (lots of them!)

Have fun. Looks to be warm here this weekend. Loantaka trail ends (I think) on Woodland Ave which is part of the Giralda loop.
