From comments, I'm guessing the cut off was 2:28.  Wow.

Weird. I ran my marathon on September 20th, and got my acceptance email.

                          Me too. Sad

Oh well...I love the OKC Memorial Marathon, my usual Spring race, so I'll be happy to run that one again.  It's where I qualified in the first place, so maybe I can do so again, with more of a cushion, for 2017.

My BQ - 1:07 wasn't even close this time, not that I thought it had a chance. Fortunately, I've sworn off doing marathons anymore... Although I suppose I could now go back and run the Lake Wobegon Trail again in the spring instead. Yeah, maybe that's what I'll do... (must resist)

The force is strong.  You cannot resist the force.  You are compelled to run countless hundreds of miles in the dark of the morning and lung burning marathon paced workouts and ever longer long runs and obsess about weather and food and training plans.  Why must you do this?  Why?

                              Because runners run.

I see you Boston 2017.  I've got you where I want you, you slippery b*tch.  You've been warned.
