5k surprised (Read 84 times)

Consistently Slow

I have not run a 5k since February 2019. My knees do not like speed. The Marathon race predictor said I should be able to go under 34 minutes. I ran most of the course on Thursday in 38 minutes. I set my goal to go under 35. Finished in 29:09. My Garmin had the course at 3 miles even. Heartland Marathon in NE September 25th for state number 49. The time limit is 6 hours. Race predictor has me at 5:15 but it is all concrete just hoping the knees hold up. The goal is 5:45:00. 3rd AG today. Six runners in my age group. I finally wasn't last. 🤣

Run until the trail runs out.

Well, you sure blew that goal out of the water! Congratulations!!

Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.

Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.
