    Hi

Not sure what this is and thinking maybe let it heal a bit more but not sure - have nyc marathon on 5 Nov so in taper
    Appreciate any thoughts advice?

    Are we there, yet?

I think this requires an evaluation by a foot specialist. It sounds similar to a partially torn tendon or tendonitis that I had back in January which needed several weeks in a brace and no running for about 6 weeks.

Yep, rest and see a doctor. You've done the work and resting is not going to change your race. Continuing to run without knowing whether it's a bigger problem could sideline you longer. Good luck! Smile

        an amazing likeness

Downhill running really beats on the front of the lower leg tendons and muscles. Suspect tendonitis and soft-tissue tears. Ice and rest, transitioning to heat and rest would be the course of action I would take.

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
