What entices you to run a race? (Read 772 times)

I like to test myself. I like the competition Mostly, I like meeting up with my daughters and grandsons to run. We go eat Mexican food afterwards. We tell each other how great we are. I am new to this, so getting hardware is a big charge I want the course to be well marked, but most of them are not. Chip timing is great for me, because I have no way at this point to tell my correct speed or distance. My daughters and i want to run every county in Oregon. Being with the other runners charges me up. Pictures are great, but few and far between.
