March '08...how was your month? (Read 954 times)

Outside Lane

I felt great about my 78+ miles but you were cruising! Surprised Way to go!

    See how they run...

Mine was a low mileage month, due to illnesses, total 72 miles! Determined to make up lost ground and regain my fitness during April. Simon.

      PBs since age 60:  5k- 24:36, 10k - 47:17. Half Marathon- 1:42:41.

                                          10 miles (unofficial) 1:16:44.

Awful month for me-- illness sidelines me for three weeks, with a cough so bad I had an asthma attack (the first one in nearly 10 years). That being said, I was pleasantly surprised that when I started running again at the end of the month, the rest seems to have helped me get to a faster pace and a lot looser running (dropping from 15 minute miles to 13 minute miles). A small accomplishment, but a baby step the same. Now to run 4x per week consistently in April and get my mileage to a record high...

I had a banner month. 167.9 miles this month, close to a record for me. Despite travel, weather and catching the flu too. Best of all i ran a 3:13:14 marathon (7:20 min/mi), beating the hell out of my previous time of 3:43 (8:31's), and almost qualifying for Boston (even though that's not a goal of mine this year). Love the cool March weather!
