Check out this link. I'd love to see this movie. If anyone has any ideas about how we could see it, I'd love the input.

It's in limited release right now. It's debuting at the Chicago Film Festival the weekend of the marathon there. I snagged two tickets for opening night. I'll let you know how it is.
I'm not sure what the plans are regarding wide release. I'm sure if you visit their website, they might have more info:

Different show but PBS is going is airing Marathon Challenge at the end of October
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/marathon/about.html
"How do you run 26.2 miles if you have trouble making it around the block? With good coaching, discipline, and lots of group support, as NOVA shows when it follows 13 generally sedentary people through a training regimen designed to prepare them for an ultimate test of stamina and endurance. Created in cooperation with the Boston Athletic Association®, which granted NOVA unprecedented access to the 111th Boston Marathon®, and Tufts University, "Marathon Challenge" takes viewers on a unique adventure inside the human body, tracking the physiological changes that exercise can bring about. This should be really interesting, a friend of mine got a number running for Thompson Island Outward Bound. She was a beer swilling, butt smoking couch potato that put in the time and miles required to prepare for Boston.
I imagine the weather will play a big role in the documentary, as the day approached for the 111th running the weather was
horrendous
. The RD was in constant contact with forecasters because they had to give consideration to cancellation. Hopkinton was a swamp, but the weather improved greatly just before the start.
My friend emailed a pic with her finisher's medal and she was absolutely glowing, I've never seen her happier. I'll have to send the NOVA link to her, she'll love it.

I can't even qualify for Boston....I'm jealous that these people get that kind of training to tackle this marathon. I give 'em all the credit in the world!

I saw a program on some obscure satellite channel that I was getting on a free preview. I can't remember the name of the channel. Anyway, the program was titled, "Fat Man Running." A guy in England documented his training and participation in a Marathon in London. He went from sedentary to completing a marathon in 7 months or so. His motivation was to lose weight and get in shape before his wedding. Very interesting and entertaining.
UPDATE: Here is the link - http://www.lime.com/tv/fat_man_running/video/14617/fat_man_running It's the LIME Network.
