Silver medal, age grade 83.93. 1st out of reach - Paul Perry ran 5:21, so race was for silver and bronze. Followed John Brittain thru 800 in 2:59, took over pace and kept pushing, 2:48.33 for second half. Jim Lombardi got close, but held on for 2 sec. win. John B. 3rd, just .72 behind Jim.
