intervals at augie. workout was 3x400 at 70 with 400 jog, then 2x800 at 2:20 with 800 jog, and then 4x200 at 34 with 200 jog. i felt really good today, especially with the sombra. i felt like i had full forward extension on my stride on my left leg. accidentally went 67 not knowing i was going that fast. thats the fastest that ive gone in over a year and i can defintely go faster if i tryed on a day where i felt as good as i did today. it felt extremely hot even though it was only 73 so it was tough fighting the heat. i did really good though and finished my first TRUE track workout for this season. the 800s sucked but i was able to do decent on them especially considering that i was struggling to just run 70s for quarters last week. i think out of all of us, i was the closest to hitting my 800 times. the 200s at the end felt fine. i was definitely dehydrated and fatigued, but they werent too bad. it was hard though getting myself to start my jog right after because my breathing was pretty labored. overall this was a really good workout in the heat and im glad i was able to finish it. i made the mistake of sitting down for 30 seconds after i finished so the top of my quad up by my hip tightened up pretty bad, but as of yet my hamstring has felt fine
