Notes

Beartrax 20k Lapham Peak State Park

4th place overall

A hilly, hilly, hilly course. Additionally some mud and water made for interesting footing. The most challenging course I have ever raced, but still a lot of fun. My GPS did not always receive a signal in the woods - thus the 11.93 distance and perhaps this accounts for some major fluctuations in mile splits. However, the monster hills probably had more to do with those 8:30 mile splits. Recovered without ANY soreness except for my left knee. I am a bit concerned about how it feels, inside top of knee cap. Perhaps I bruised the knee cap?? or bottom of femur... all the down hills...

I ran on Wednesday with very noticeable acute pain. Hoping to enter the Lake Monona 20k on Saturday, but it is not looking likely right now.
