Tried to complete the event after coming off knee injury. I ended up running all but the final 5 miles, at which point my left calf was getting extremely sore. My knee survived without incident.

Definitely need to regain fitness lost from the time off. After little to no running for 5 weeks, the amount of miles I jumped back into has caused lots of soreness. My calf is of greatest concern - definitely pain and not soreness. I will need to watch this very carefully the next couple of days. Not much time until Boston, hoping to get quality miles in over the next few weeks and reach some level of fitness that may allow me to run okay at the BAA marathon.
