I was thrilled to run this race with my running hero and mentor Mike P. - I would run every time with him if I could. A very, very tough course. My time was slower than my last couple of marathons, and not quite the result I was looking for, but I'm relatively happy with the final result. Nice running weather, well organized for an inaugural race, and Mike made sure we went out at a reasonable pace. The course kicked my butt - a little behind the original goal at the half, but then a fairly hefty positive split over the second half. Toughest course of the eight different marathon courses I have run. Still, no walking, and though the legs felt heavy, a wall was never hit. Great to meet and hang out with Christa Laree B. and Laura A. too, who both had great races!
